Sage Blogger: PRWeb vs PPC

  • Pranav · 2 years ago
Fantastic post! and co-incident too! I was actually on the PRWeb website a while ago trying to find out how to send out a release - the costs involved and stuff, and here you have more details than I could find over there.

    Thanks Pranav,
Just click "submit press release" in your account and will bring up the window with all possible leveles. I never tried the $200, but from info it is probably the best option available.

Vlad it is always good to try things besides PPC and sending out press releases is a long term solution. I like to post the press release on my site at least 1 week before submitting to the wire so that my site is the authoritative source for the content.

    Cvos,
Thanks for stopping by. I actually never published the press releases usesd on PRWeb on my own websites. I do that with articles on EzineArticles, but not with PRWeb.

An interesting article. I used PRweb while it was free, and I am about to use them now, however I will let a specialist write it for me (English is my second language...).

I am following the 90 days roadmap plan at affilorama.

    Franck,
I have often contemplated to use a writer for my press releases. I think it is a good idea. Good luck!

Great Post! Affiliates that expand their marketing toolbox beyond ppc marketing are going to continue to perform above expectations. I've been seeing a trend lately that those partners that focus on driving traffic by one method often are at the mercy of that method. Those that diversify (PR, Offline Lists, Email Marketing, Word of Mouth, Viral) often do better and build sustainable, long term businesses. Great post!

    Thanks Jamie,

Thanks for mentioning the offline list. I have been big fan of offline promotion in affiliate marketing. I have a business card for every single website I own :) you can do wonders with offline promotions. Thanks for stopping by! I am following closely your site. I whis more merchants could see the benefits of datafeeds.

    Thanks!

I think that in the beginning, the Internet was going to be new, new business models, new ways of doing business. But in reality it is really a new tool, a new communication method, and old world business practices still apply. Integration of the offline and online worlds will really yield the best success for affiliates.

Thanks for the compliment on our datafeeds. We try to provide our affiliates with the tools they need to be successful. We just launched coupon feeds as well. Thanks for letting me join in :)

    Jamie,
I am glad you are following this. I jsut sent you an e-mail.

I wish more merchants would join your site, maybe I can do something about it ;) even on a small scale.

I would have to agree with Vlad, that it is always good idea to submit a press release, but I would say that you should be running a newsworthy business, and you if you have the money, preferably $200, would be best for PRWeb, then do it for sure. If not, start off with PPC, and try that first.
