  • It's not listing BZ as your URL. That just happens the only search result in the google directory that has your entire website address indexed in it.

Look at the cached page. Your entire domain is listed in a zee you posted. That's why it's showing up for that search, "www.volodymyrzaplotskyy.com"
  • Darn it, I thought I was was onto something lol
  • On the other hand it is quiet interesting. I wonder if anyone ever gets much traffic from Google Directory?

    - the Directory listing is actually worth a lot in terms of linkback value. so most traffic is indirect and heavily influences your SE score.

You are not listed in google directory because it's a very old version of dmoz, I don't remember the last time they update to fresher content from the dmoz database. it's best just to search dmoz for your domain to see where you are listed.

Evidently they do refresh it often. The "zee" Scott is referring to was written by me just a few days ago.

I did that and there is not a sign that my site is anywhere at dmoz (huge wink to a dmoz editor)
  • I guess that means the tool is pretty much worthless ha. I bet you got really excited about about a dmoz listing.

I think the tool may have been good a while back. Many similar tools due for update now. I noticed that MSN does not report incoming links the way they used to. I am not sure if that is an option anymore.
