Sage Blogger: Do You Blog in English?

  • Pranav Chavda · 2 years ago
    I read and talk four languages, but when it comes to writing (and blogging, etc) it's "English only" For me, somehow. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have been affiliate-marketing since I was in high school, and IMO the market most Bumpzee users are targeting seems to be North American where english is the predominant language in use when selling. (Spanish is something I was considering learning some months ago - dropped the idea)

    Thanks Parnav,

    While the primary target area for me is North America as well. When it comes to BumpZee! the fact is that BumpZee is not aligned (at least not yet) to have blogs that are not in English. I am not sure if Scott would even consider expanding into other laguages. It would carry with it some major work of translating the modules and monitoring the communities. But since introduction of SEO on BumpZee and maybe other communities in the near future, having multiligual community may not be such a bad idea.

    What, we have blogs in two languages so far, US and UK english! ;-)

    We have had a few non-english blogs submitted, and I just cannot see them fitting into the existing communities, besides the fact that I cannot possibly review them for relevence.

    When it comes time to allow users to add their own communities (which we're working on), they can theoretically be in any language they wish. We'll see.

    @Scott
    Well, I guess there are thre languages US, UK and Vlad's English.... lol

    "allow users to add their own communities"

    This sounds very cool!

    If you ever need my help I speak following: Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and Italian

    I doubt there is a need but just in case.

    Scott, I am not sure if you are still following this but I have a question. Let presume I start writing in Italian. In order to do so I will probably install another wordpress in "it" directory. Technically this will be a different blog, with it's own RSS. We need to go trhouhg an approval as usual right?
