I completely agree with you about the rest of the people participating in the contest. I think I will give it a few days and will change the rules a little. most of those comments came within first two days so we are moving too slow.

I think so much of it has to do with format. If you offer $100 to comment #100, what incentive is there for people 1-99 to comment?

Apart from group contests, there are some good link exchange schemes that are beneficial to join to some extent.

hi Vlad, Blog contests work well for blogs that have bloggers as readers and that are generally on technology, web 2.0 and blogging. I have not yet seen any contest at a business blog or blogs on a particular subject like photography or travel. Putting it another way, let's say how can we do a contest by a blog that generally has a non-blogging readership?

You have so much going on here it's hard to even find your contest. Looks like you are using every plugin and widget available and in my honest opinion it looks bad.

I personally love the color green, but on websites it doesn't work. Might be something to do with your yellow shirt as well but I'm immediately turned off by the look of your blog. I just thought I would share that with you. Yes I'm a designer.
