  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
"So what started as my intention to implement just one single list, turned out to be a great adventure of creating 6 lists so far."

Glad you are having fun Vlad.

You will need to update us in the future on how the journey turns out or if you pick up any excellent tips.

I will Mark. Btw, your review helped me to join them. And I am gald I did. Probably the best money I spent in 2007.

"your review helped me to join them"

No problem. Did you sign up for through my affiliate links?

I don't care if you didn't, however it's not showing in my stats if you did. Not sure if it's delayed or my links are broken.
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
Yes I did. That was another question I meant to e-mail you about it. Did you get paid?
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
    "Yes I did."

Thanks a bunch, I didn't see the commission however. Let me go reread the documentation and if nothing speaks about a delay I'll email them.

They say about their affiliate program:

    "Real Time Web Statistics"

So something is broken, I'm going to email them.
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
Great. I am looking forward to find out. Also signed up for the Affiliate program as well. I wonder if I will appear as your "sub-affiliate".
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
"Also signed up for the Affiliate program as well."

Oh yeah I asked them that also. You'd be awesome as another affiliate. Shawn Collins is above me. I'll keep you updated on their response.

I've got on my "todo" list to make a competition for myself to see how large of list I can build starting from scratch with people that want deals (or to buy stuff). Maybe set a goal of 500 or so. Should be fun when I get to it.

"to see how large of list I can build starting from scratch"

They have very nice totorials which helped me yesterday. I think you should be able to compile a 500 list in a short time.
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
Vlad they wrote me back. They say that you need to email them now to hear from both sides and they'd take care of it. I'm sending you an email with the details.

    Thanks again.
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
Just did. Snet you a copy as well.
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
Thanks Dude! Keep me updated and I'll do the same 4u.

Vlad - Good article, I have been using aWeber for over a year now. It depends on the traffic your site has as to how successful you become. I am thinking about making my next video a how to for subscriptions via aWeber.
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
Thanks Mark, I looking forward to your video. I am still just trying to find my way over at AWeber, and am havin problem with "blog boradcast". Can't figure out how to send the "full post" to subscribers. It only sends out "description" with the link to my site. Any idea?

    Vlad,

Where is your rss feed that shows a full feed?

    Mark from 45n5.com
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
I meant to say where is the feed you are using for aweber? what is the url.

    mark from 45n5.com
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
    @Mark

    here is my feed:
    http://sageblogger.com/wp-rss2.php
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
    Vlad,

    http://sageblogger.com/wp-rss2.php

that link ONLY shows partial feeds at the moment, therefore aweber will only send partial feeds. garbage in, garbage out. The problem is on your end not awebers.

try using your feedburner feed maybe?
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
Mark I see it is partial in description

but content :encoded has the intire enry. That was the reason I asked if:
    {!rss_item_content:encoded}

in the AWeber template would do the trick.
  • 45n5 · 2 years ago
I see it now. I'd just email them, they get back to you usually in a couple hours.

    Good luck ;-)
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
    Thanks Mark,

I think it may also have to do with a plugin called "Meta Tags". It's useless for Google anyway, I will try to disable it.
  • Mark from Bloglyne.com · 2 years ago
Vlad - you have to load the template when you setup your broadcast rss. There is a button underneath the template that you have to click and then you will see your RSS post go out with the articles you write. You can go to my page and subscribe to my service then you can compare my broadcast rss to yours.
  • Vlad · 2 years ago
Thanks Mark at Bloglyne, I will check out your template.
